As the holidays draw near, the magic of Walt Disney World kicks into high gear with the promotion of the Buzz Lightyear toy. Get ready for the two week opening of the re-released Toy Story movies, both 1 and 2. The movies will make another theatrical premiere for two weeks in the month of October 2009. This kickoff will set the scene for the latest of the Toy Story movies, Toy Story III.
Toy Story III, featuring the Buzz Lightyear toy, which will be released in Spring of 2010 at theaters near you.
The re-release of the first two original movies will be released as a double feature. The new movie will be released in Disney's Pixar 3-D and the regular theatrical version. The Buzz light year toy along with all the gang will be back. Woody the sheriff will again include the voice over of Tom Hanks, followed by most of the original cast of the two preceding movies.
Featured in Walt Disney World are most of the characters from the movies, to include the main characters and can be seen at Hollywood studios, and in some parts of the Magic Kingdom, for example the Monsters Inc. Social Laugh Club, which most recently this year I was able to get a few good snap shots of Woody and Buzz.
The Buzz Lightyear toy has had a few modifications over the last 14 years, and there are more than 25 different variations of the toy, available in most stores ranging from Internet stores, to eBay, to local department toy stores. With the release of Toy Story III, you can expect that Disney World will have a few tricks up their sleeves and make some new edition. Look for them this holiday season. To Infinity and Beyond...
